Shalom Friends and Fellow Warriors,

I really love Divine appointments that are orchestrated by the mighty hand of God!  They are exciting and so awe-inspiring in the scope of how God weaves all the variables together to make it precisely happen when a open window in linear time is interfaced with the now realm of the Holy Spirit.  However, the warfare and buffeting that sometimes goes on in the preliminary stages of these Divine appointments can be quite disconcerting for those who do not foresee the hand of God working on ones behalf in the proceeding turbulence before the encounter is unveiled.  That is precisely why we need to mix our faith with the character substance of endurance/obedience.

Case in point….  Earlier this month, I really needed to sleep in and reschedule a early Monday morning flight to the extended revival meetings going on in California.  My body was so tired from the weekend triathlon training for the upcoming Israeli championships that I just needed to sleep in for 12 hours (LOL).  But the Holy Spirit would not let me sleep…so I sluggishly got ready and quickly out the door for this early AM flight.  Once I boarded the plane I had determined to sleep the whole flight to the West coast but the person sitting next to me was making so much noise shuffling between 15 different major newspapers from all over the world.  Once this person next to me noticed I was admiring his reading capabilities he kindly asked where I was going and what I do for living.  I of course wanted to sleep so I gave him the “cliff note” version of our work in Israel and settled back into my headrest to get some shut eye.  But everything changed ten seconds later when he graciously gave me his business card and invited me out to lunch at his home in Pebble Beach, CA.  I read his card and understood that a Divine appointment was happening at 30,000 feet and I needed to react quickly, perk up, and pay attention!

I was sitting next to none other than the former nominee for the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) during the Clinton Presidency!  This was a retired Air Force General who was the second in command under General Colin Powell of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the 1st Gulf War.  This was one of the most decorated combat fighter pilots during the Vietnam war and later the General in charge of getting the new F-16’s to the Israeli Air Force (IAF) that were later used to bomb and destroy the nuclear reactor in Iraq.  This was the General in charge of the entire Pacific command and the tactical nuclear umbrella of the Strategic Air Command (SAC) for the Pacific theatre.  The resume list of this retired Air Force General goes on and on…and I was caught up in the excitement of a Divine connection that was more exciting than a Tom Clancy spy novel!  The rest of the 4 hour flight was centered on the discussion of Israel and Islamic jihad and I just felt like I was in a dream come true to be able to glean first hand information about the war against terror!

The information I was able to glean from this Divine appointment is so encouraging in fueling us to know that this ministry we have been pioneering to be on the cutting edge against terror is so spot on!  I’m rejoicing greatly in this new connection and was also so blessed to hear that this retired General and warrior explain privately that his daughter and son-in-law are committed Christians!  This made this Divine appointment even more comforting.  They have been praying for this old warrior and we were drafting in the tailwind of their prayers to comfort their father!  Glory to God!!!

Perk up your faith in this late hour for this Divine Domino Effect (DDE) to unfold also in your sectors of responsibility dear friends and partners!  We are living in a time that God is arising to scatter and splatter His enemies (Ps. 68), and we must be very alert and sober to not just the enemy but also our own lower nature that is on a military conquest (I Peter 2:11) to do its will and not His will!  Study out the pattern of Gethsemane and linking up your will to be His will in this hour no matter how difficult that cup is to drink Abba has put before you (Luke 22:39-46).  When you're in His will and die to your will…then Divine Domino Effect (DDE) opens before you in dimensions that are mind-boggling! 

Have an awesome weekend and Yom Kippur celebration of drinking the cup Abba has placed before you and your will becoming His will!  This is the biggest sin believers must overcome and that is the lack of Gethsemane consecrations on a seasonal basis!  It is time to quit doing His permissible will, but turn on the afterburners and pursue His perfect will!
